AOGHS is a Washington DC based non-profit organization focused on preserving America's petroleum exploration and production history by providing advocacy and service for community museums and other organizations working to preserve this history through exhibition, material preservation and especially educational outreach.
Harry's Old Engine Pages -- SmokStak Forum
An easy to navigate site that offers plenty of useful and interesting information, along with lots of photographs of antique engines. It also hosts numerous Antique Engine Forums in the SmokStak section.
This museum features a vast collection of gasoline service-station artifacts. The collection includes equipment, a huge assemblage of signage and other memorabilia.
Spindletop - Gladys City Boomtown Museum
The museum is operated by Lamar University and consists of a 15-building complex portraying Gladys City, an early 1900s era boomtown on the Spindletop oilfield.
Woodworkers of Whittier (W.O.W.)
Woodworkers of Whittier was founded on the principle of service to the Whittier community. Its annual toy project benefits hundreds of children each year at Christmas time, and other club projects include cabinet making for community organizations. The Hathaway Ranch Museum provides workspace for the woodworkers organization.
