Newsletters from 1991 to 2001 (in PDF Format)
Between the Spring of 1991 and Autumn of 2000 the Hathaway Ranch Museum sponsored a series of homespun newsletters that were mailed to the membership. Printed in black & white, the front page of each six-sided (3-page) newsletter was printed on colored stock, with each successive issue being of a different color. These regular newsletters were discontinued toward the end of the year 2000 because of health issues with Nadine Hathaway, who personally supplied and directed most of what information was to be incorporated into the newsletters. However, in 2001 at least one additional newsletter (with color images) was produced by Nadine Hathaway's youngest daughter, Merrie, but this new effort, too, fell aside due to the declining health of the museum's founder and director, Nadine Hathaway.
This newsletter archive is unfortunately known to be missing at least one issue. The archive as presented here consists of low resolution, black & white PDF files suitable for a quick download and on-line reading. Scattered amongst the newsletter chit-chat are some articles that remain historically significant and that ought to provide some enjoyable reading. Anyone who was a member of the Hathaway Ranch Museum during the span of years between 1991 and 2000 will no doubt remember the newsletters, whereupon this archive offers the opportunity to rekindle some happy old memories. For someone new to the Hathaway Ranch Museum these old newsletters will provide a glimpse into the goals, social interests and historic activities pursued by the Museum's founder and guiding spirit, Nadine Hathaway.
